COURSE OVERVIEW
The Introduction to Make-up course introduces the fundamental principles and techniques of Make-up Artistry. If you have a passion for beauty, this course is for you. Classes are from 9am to 3pm at Randburg, Johannesburg and Hatfield, Pretoria campus. All lessons listed are an in-depth class regarding the focus of the class, that include which products and brushes to use and best practices to ensure a successful application.
The kit is fully stocked with MAC and Graftobian products which are used by professional makeup artists working in the fashion industry.
Upon completion of the short course, you will be able to practice basic makeup in a variety of fashion beauty related contexts.
The minimum requirement to enter into this course is the minimum age of 16

Personal and Professional Hygiene and etiquette – kit, hair, nails and dress code

Face chart application and design

Foundation matching and application for all skin types and skin tones (light – medium – dark)

Colour theory and mixing – for foundation matching and colour makeup application (eyeshadows/lipstick and blush)

Facial feature application

Various beauty looks

Facial feature breakdown and analysis of face and eyes shapes – how to identify the different face and eye shapes and how to correct these features (Contouring and highlighting)

Skin analysis, skin care and prep for all skin types and skin tones (light – medium – dark)
