COURSE OVERVIEW
In South Africa there is a strong demand for advanced IT networking skills, and with the rapid adoption of Cloud computing an even greater demand for Cloud skills, especially Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 software suite. In fact, according to the Skills Development Corporation, South Africa has a 34% skills shortage in the IT sector. This short learning programme is designed and intended to fill that shortfall. We at STADIO are also actively engaged with the IT industry to ensure that we offer the relevant and required skills to our students via these short courses.
This short learning programme is offered in the form of eleven short courses that provide the student with the required knowledge and skills to enjoy a rewarding work experience. Students will learn skills involved in network administration and engineering, network design, Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud computing. Since this a vocational programme, a balance is maintained between theoretical knowledge and practical abilities with emphasis on the practical component.
Although these modules do not form part of a full qualification that is accredited with SAQA and/or registered with the Council on Higher Education, the Microsoft Certification is an industry standard that is recognized worldwide. It is recommended that you register for all modules because students proceed through the modules based on their prior module's complexity level. Thus, each module is a prerequisite for the one preceding it.
Students will commence with modules that will cover the Core networking knowledge required by Microsoft for future studies. These include topics such as network infrastructure, storage, DNS, Virtualisation, AD, IP addressing, remote access, and Hyper-V, as well as Azure Cloud computing to name but a few. Our curriculum is based on the prescribed international Microsoft curriculum (training programme).
Once the programme is successfully completed the student may pursue a career as a Network Administrator and/or Network Engineer coupled with Microsoft Azure Administrator and Microsoft 365.
