COURSE OVERVIEW

This course provides students with a foundation in the fundamentals of trend analysis and forecasting for the fashion industry. The content covered in this course equips students with the skills necessary to analyse fashion markets, segments and clothing categories in order to identify and forecast future fashion trends for the South African market. 

Classes for this short course will be online once you have paid the tuition fees you will receive a link to access the course and content. Each individual will work and finish the course at their own pace, as long as all assignments are submitted within 6 months from the initial start date.

Upon completion of the course, you will be able to analyse fashion trends and interpret these trends into business opportunities.

 

The minimum requirement to enter into this course is the minimum age of 16.

  • Understanding the fashion design and forecasting process

  • Understand and analyse the fashion market in terms of market levels, segments and categories 

  • Understand and apply fashion movement theories in order to analyse current and forecast fashion trends
