What is Contact Learning
CONTACT LEARNING AT STADIO
Contact learning at STADIO is designed for students who prefer attending venue-based, face-to-face classes on campus. The Blended Contact mode combines in-person and online learning, providing flexibility while maximising time spent on campus. Each module uses a unique blend of learning settings:
Classroom: These sessions are hands-on and involve active participation through debates, practice, and discussions. Attendance is mandatory, as students learn from each other and contribute to the learning process.
Synchronous Online: Live online sessions, led by lecturers from different campuses, encourage lateral thinking and diverse perspectives. Students can join from home or use campus facilities, and some sessions may be recorded. Participation in these sessions is also compulsory.
Asynchronous Online: Pre-recorded lectures allow students to learn at their own pace, revisiting important concepts and examples. These sessions are accessible at any time within the provided timelines.
A detailed timetable is available on the learning management system (Canvas) at the start of the semester, helping students plan their schedules and campus visits in advance.
WHO SHOULD CONSIDER CONTACT LEARNING?
Contact learning is ideal for students who can regularly attend campus-based classes and want to immerse themselves in a campus community. It requires a commitment to face-to-face attendance and active participation for optimal success.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM STADIO
Students can expect a structured combination of classroom and online learning, supported by a detailed timetable, as well as access to both in-person and online resources. Participation in campus life and learning activities is encouraged.
WHAT STADIO WILL EXPECT FROM YOU
Regular attendance at classroom and live online sessions is mandatory. Students are expected to engage with all learning formats, follow the timetable, and fully commit to the contact learning experience to ensure success.
