QUALIFICATION OVERVIEW
The Master of Education in Education Leadership, Management and Change is designed to develop advanced professional and academic knowledge in the field of education leadership and management, with a strong emphasis on application in complex and evolving educational contexts. The qualification prepares graduates for leadership roles and further research-based postgraduate study, equipping them to contribute meaningfully to knowledge development and professional practice in education and training. It cultivates the capabilities required of academic leaders, decision-makers and change agents across public and private sectors, enabling them to engage systematically and innovatively with complex challenges, apply advanced problem-solving and data-informed decision-making, and demonstrate self-directed, ethical and original professional practice.
The programme promotes a critical understanding of education policy reform and curriculum transformation in South Africa and globally, integrating advanced pedagogical knowledge with leadership and management practices suited to dynamic contexts.
