COURSE OVERVIEW

As a mentor, a teacher’s job is to share the knowledge, experience and passion for teaching.

The course introduces mentor teachers to important mentoring concepts and practices; offers expert advice on how to inspire and motivate student teachers; discuss ways to confidently guide and assist student teachers with lesson planning and preparation; discuss how to model and encourage the development of appropriate professional and interpersonal behaviour and explain the assessment process and the various documents used by the Teaching Practice Department.
