COURSE OVERVIEW

The purpose of this course is to provide educators with the pedagogical foundational knowledge to teach Natural Science and Technology and to equip them with the skills necessary to formulate lesson plans, develop resources and design assessment activities that stimulate and advance scientific and technological inquiry.

The sessions will empower teachers with teaching strategies and techniques that will enable them to teach Natural Science and Technology in the Intermediate Phase. They will develop the theoretical and practical knowledge to facilitate the conceptual learning of natural science and technology through scientific and technological literacy and skills and techniques to improvise where facilities such as appropriate apparatus and materials are lacking. They will be able to teach Natural Science and Technology in the Intermediate Phase with confidence and improve their understanding of fundamental concepts that are critical to the teaching of natural science and technology in the intermediate phase.
